Like perhaps all actors out there, James Franco too has a bunch of movies that he either regrets doing (for various reasons) or thinks were just unspeakably bad.

As he tells GQ the Comedy Issue, June 2013, “Your Highness” was one of those movies he wishes his name weren’t associated with.

“‘Your Highness’? That movie sucks. You can't get around that,” Franco says.

While it’s completely understandable to have things in life that you regret, I find it somehow in bad taste to trash your own movies, especially since many others also worked on them and you might be doing them a great disservice.

Plus, certain people must have enjoyed the film you’re trashing, so you’re being disrespectful towards them as well.

And all, just to drum up publicity for a new film…

Franco will be seen next in “This Is the End” but he also has “As I Lay Dying” opening at the Cannes Film Festival this month.

“When I first read the script [for This Is The End], the James Franco character was – I guess the only way to describe it is he was a lot douchier than the version that we came up with. I was the materialistic guy. They were really playing up the Gucci-modeling aspect of my life,” Franco says of his upcoming release.
