Out of all the people to get a reality show, James Franco is perhaps last to come to mind. The actor, who has been described as a true Renaissance man, is getting ready for the premiere of his “anthology docuseries.”

Called “James Franco Presents,” the unscripted series will include 10 hourlong episodes and will premiere in November on the cable network Ovation, Variety informs.

Franco will star and executive produce.

As Ovation chief creative officer Robert Weiss puts it, the series isn’t as much a reality show as an art project. It will include never before seen footage with and by Franco and even some of his many short films.

It will also feature up and coming artists Franco loves and insights into his many projects, besides film.

“The show sees the word of art through James’ eyes. All the different exploits that James is involved in, this show encompasses,” Weiss says.

“While Franco appears in every episode as the host introducing each segment, his screen time will vary depending on how much he himself is a subject of each hour,” Variety adds.

So, does it sound like something you would watch?
