The family of murder and kidnapping suspect James DiMaggio is asking for a paternity test after finding out that he has left his victims a hefty inheritance.

As I mentioned, he was killed in a fire exchange with police after kidnapping Hannah Anderson and killing her mother and younger brother.

According to 10 News, he has left his victims $112,000 (€83,700), as they are benefiting from his life insurance policy.

Andrew Spanswick, speaking for DiMaggio's family, has clarified that Hannah's grandmother will be administering the inheritance.

However, they are asking for DNA samples from Hannah and they have also made a request for samples from her 8-year-old brother, Ethan.

La Jolla life insurance agent Craig Gussin has suggested that the terms of the insurance policy have been set up over two years ago, which means that, if DiMaggio is Hannah's father, he has known for a while.
