James Cameron Is Preparing for Another Major Cinematographic Wonder

Ever since 1997, the most prolific year in the history of the moving picture (we're talking about the 'Titanic', what else?), the director whose work and success could only be comparable to that of George Lucas in terms of financial outcomes, James Cameron just announced that he is ready to start working on a new huge project.

Amazingly enough, 'Avatar', the upcoming movie, will only take a month (or a maximum period of 45 days) to shoot, while the rest of the time until its release will be spend in the studio.

The new sci-fi saga will hit cinemas some time in the summer of 2008 so, that's a lot of time to work on the special effects but, for sure it'll be worth it.

James Cameron became famous also for the first 'Terminator' and its first sequel but it was 'Titanic' the one that brought him so many acknowledgments.

'Avatar' will focus on the story of a paraplegic war veteran who is taken to another planet populated by a race of aliens who are not very fond of the humans. So, it's safe to say, that we are to see (not soon enough, unfortunately) a sci-fi movie to its core.

Although Cameron stated that they are very active in terms of casting, he also added that he is not set to hire big stars to feature in it. 'It's more of a thrill to find people who are just about ready to break and recognizing what they have and then moving them to the next level. That's more exciting, I think, than just hitching my wagon to Tom Cruise or John Travolta or whatever. They're great guys, I know them, but it's not as interesting to me'.

Shooting for 'Avatar' will start not earlier than February 2007, in Los Angeles.
