14 DAY TRIAL // Here is the new trailer for a crime thriller starring Jake Gyllenhaal, that speaks volumes about today's media and the unrelenting search for the next big story, at the expense of our morals. The movie is called “Nightcrawler,” and there is a new trailer for it out now.
Gyllenhall stars as Lou Bloom, an out-of-work yet ambitious young man who wants to get placed but finds himself put down by modern society. He finds his calling as a crime reporter with little or no value for human life, and thus ensures himself a career as one of the best in his branch.
Among the things we see in the trailer is his willingness to bend the law and rearrange a dead body at a crime scene in order to get a better shot for television. By the end of the movie, we can see Jake's character progress into a sort of madness that is going to definitely push the limits of his acting ability.
The trailer looks very good, as does Gyllenhaal's acting, and the movie could be one of the best ones Jake has done in a while, especially since it's directed by Dan Gilroy, the man who helped create “The Bourne Legacy.”
