The development team at Full Control announces that its Kickstarter effort for the upcoming Jagged Alliance: Flashback is now live, allowing fans to check out the core elements of the game and contribute to its development.

The team states, “Our main goal is to bring back the tactical turn-based action that the original Jagged Alliance games are known for - the game was a thinking man's game, a thinking man with lots of guns!”

The core of Jagged Alliance: Flashback will be made up of single-player tactical turn-based action, with the player controlling his mercenary team in order to take out enemies and fulfill missions.

A full cover system will be implemented and death will be permanent for those mercenaries who are caught on the wrong foot by enemy forces.

Roleplaying will involve interacting with the hired guns in order to gain more battlefield information and get access to new gears and abilities and all those employed can also be fully customized, from gear to overall style.

One new feature that Full Control wants to introduce in Flashback is base building and management, giving players a location where they can hang out between missions and use to increase the power of their team.

The team says that English, French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish will all be supported and that the entire package will be DRM free.

Full Control will place the story of Jagged Alliance: Flashback during the ‘80s, with the CIA hiring the player to take out the socialist government that has taken over the leadership of the island of San Cristobal.

The team wants to get about 350,000 dollars (260,000 Euro).

The team adds, “Our approach for this Kickstarter funded project is transparency. We will give you the naked truth in frequent updates, as you are our backers and are entitled to know where your contribution endes up.”
