Jadakiss in Jail for Drug and Weapon Possession

For the second time since 2004, the 31-year-old rapper was arrested in his hometown of Yonkers, New York, after a police officer made a search of the vehicle in which Jadakiss and other three men were sitting, and found a loaded firearm and a relatively small amount of cannabis.

The car was parked near an intersection and, while the cop approached it, he noticed that the driver was acting oddly and that a prevailing odor of marijuana was coming from it. At a closer investigation, he found the gun and a small amount of marijuana, for which the MC was held in custody, as it was discovered on his person.

Because the reported stolen weapon was found inside the car, all three men were charged with possession, while the driver will also have to answer to the charge of driving under the influence. The four men were taken to the police station, and the officer en charge said that they did not resist arrest.

No bond was posted for them and, a few hours after their arrest, they were taken to Westchester County Jail, according to MTV News, where they are to remain until at least Tuesday. Jadakiss' representative could not be found for comment and no information relating to the incident was available on his official site.
