Jada Pinkett Smith has just driven the final nail in the coffin that is her marriage to Will Smith, claims a new report. She's seeing a high-powered attorney and is determined to file for divorce ASAP. The latest print issue of InTouch Weekly (story via
here) claims to have it on very good authority that Jada is officially sick and tired pretending her once-solid marriage to Will is as strong as always.
Word that they were having issues first broke in August last year, also via InTouch – and they have been trying to prove the rumors wrong ever since.
It was all for show, the celebrity publication says. The two have been
living separate lives ever since the huge fight last summer, with Will shacking in Miami, and Jada mostly in Los Angeles.
Now, she's decided pretending to still be together for the sake of their careers is not worth it.
“Jada recently visited the offices of Laure Wasser. It appears that she has finally begun to take steps to dissolve their marriage,” an insider says.
A second tipster tells InTouch that further “proof” that she's getting ready for divorce can be found in the fact that she turned down a juicy role so that she could spend more time with her two children.
Presumably, if she weren't on the verge of divorce, she'd be jumping at the chance of doing another film in an instant.
“Keanu Reeves wanted to cast her in his directorial debut, but she told him it was 'a difficult time' and that she wouldn’t be able to leave her kids to shoot in Asia. She was talking like a single mother!” the second source exclaims.
This is basically what other “insiders”
were saying at the beginning of December as well.
What's even more odd is that, when news first got out in the tabloids that they were about to divorce back in August, Will and Jada issued a joint statement to refute such allegations.
They have been keeping mysteriously mum these past months, saying nothing about the latest claims circulated in the press and in the blogosphere.
