Jackie Stallone, the 91-year-old mother of actor and director Sylvester “Sly” Stallone, is a classic example of how far some women would go to maintain their youthful look, provided they have enough money. However, she insists her wrinkle-free complexion is due to healthy eating.

In a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Mrs. Stallone talks about plastic surgery, women’s obsession with it and how Beverly Hills isn’t the best place to go shopping for a doctor because some of the work done there is downright awful.

She also criticizes other women for getting work done on their face (like Priscilla Presley), and praises Joan Rivers for how amazing she looks, saying she has the best work she’s ever seen in her life.

Speaking of the interventions she got, Mrs. Stallone insists she doesn’t do Botox but admits to fillers in her cheeks, which sometime make her feel as though she looks “like a chipmunk.”

“I do and actually I’ve got too much, I look like I’ve got a mouth full of nuts, it’s Juvederm, too much of it. I feel as though I look like a chipmunk. It plumps [you] up here [pointing at her cheeks] but it looks like you have a mouth full of walnuts,” the socialite says.

Botox though is off limits. Instead, Mrs. Stallone takes care of herself by eating healthy. She claims she’s genetically programmed not to get wrinkles on her forehead, so she doesn’t even need Botox.

“I use a bag of spinach a day, every morning for breakfast I Steam a bowl of it and boil an egg on it. That’s the secret to my longevity. Who do you know that looks as good at 91? I am healthy. Here I am with a husband half my age, he’s 60,” she says.

As for other women in the spotlight who have had work done, Mrs. Stallone doesn’t think too highly of them. She believes the current “ideal” of beauty in Hollywood makes them look as if “struck by lightning” – and she’s not afraid to name names.

“You take Elvis Presley’s wife, doesn’t she look like she’s frozen in space and in time. Like a statue, frozen. Did you ever see Bing Crosby’s wife Kathy Crosby? They took too much out of her eyelids and she looks basically like she’s got two headlights there,” she says.
