Jack White, the lead singer from White Stripes rock band, married yesterday model Karen Elson, in a beautiful ceremony on the Amazon. His sister, Meg White, was the maid of honour and the manager's band was the best man.

A statement on the band's website said : "Karen Elson and Jack White were married yesterday, June 2, on the confluence of three rivers - the Rio Negro, the Solimones and the Amazon... by a traditional shaman priest on a canoe at the exact point where the three rivers met."

"The ceremony was immediately followed by a blessing by a priest at a Catholic cathedral called Igreja Matric.".

Elson appears in The White Stripes' new video '"Blue Orchid" and has modelled for Gucci and Louis Vuitton.

Jack previously dated Zellweger, after they met during the filming of the 2003 movie "Cold Mountain" and formed a couple until late 2004. Zellweger split from White in September (04) after a two-year relationship.
