Lady Gaga has millions of fans around the world and is one of the bestselling artists of the moment. However, not everybody likes her music – particularly Jack White, who’s going on the record with his distaste for it.

Speaking with the latest issue of Esquire magazine, the artist tackles a variety of topics, including how reality shows have become part of our daily life and celebrity culture, social media and how he’d never set up a Twitter account and, last but not least, Lady Gaga and her music.

He doesn’t really care for either but it’s not for the reason you might be thinking of.

“I don’t think she lives it because it’s all artifice… It’s all image with no meaning behind it. You can’t sink your teeth into it. It’s a sound bite. It’s very of this age, because that’s what people want. They want a Twitter line, a Jpeg, an MP3,” White says.

He’s not the only to think that Gaga’s art is more of an artificial show than real feeling, either. In fact, this is one of the biggest arguments her critics bring up whenever they address her art.
