This is not the first time that the actor/rocker Jack Black honors the Video Music Awards ceremony with his funny commentaries and even funnier sketches. He also co-hosted the Awards edition from 2002. This year, the organizers asked him to do it again and he vouched that he will do it... and in the biggest style possible.
His performance on stage during the ceremony is to equal that of Chris Rock from 2003 and Black promises that he plans to bring the thunder back. 'My plan is to bring the thunder. I've got my top men working on it as we speak, in my thunder laboratory. Radio City Music Hall will never be the same, prepare yourself for a rip snortin' humdinger', the wacky actor said during a press conference on Thursday.

But producers are already standing by to provide for any idea he may have. Black is the man who, in 2003, made the audience rise up from their seats with laughter and frenetic applause after he performed an impression of Michael Jackson accepting his 'Artist of the Millennium' award.
The Awards will air live on August 31st and live performances include, so far, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Ludacris and Panic! at the Disco. Other names of artists will be announced later this week.
