Leading designer of innovative headset solutions Jabra has just announced a new Bluetooth headset that sports enhanced behind-the-ear wearing style, the Jabra WAVE. The new device comes with new wind-noise reduction technology and with Voice Guidance and should become available for purchase via Verizon Wireless in November.

The headset would be showcased at the CTIA Enterprise & Applications 2010 show in San Francisco, and should hit Verizon Wireless Communications stores nationwide starting with the next month, the company announced.

The behind-the-ear design of Jabra WAVE build on the success of the Jabra EarWave boom and BT250. According to the company, it already sold over 10 million units worldwide with this design.

However, it appears that the new solution, Jabra WAVE, comes with enhanced comfort than previous solutions, as well as with a thinner, sleeker design.

On top of that, the solution includes features like wind-noise reduction, Voice Guidance, and Multiuse technology, and is expected to become available for purchase in three designs: two Bluetooth headsets in black and red, along with a corded version in black.

“We hear time and time again from our customers that the behind-the-ear wearing style is their favorite and the most comfortable headset design,” said Mogens Elsberg, CEO of GN Netcom.

“We are extremely pleased to bring this style to Verizon Wireless with its innovative new features and the updated design of the Jabra WAVE. We are excited that Verizon Wireless is making three designs available exclusively to their customers.”

The new Jabra WAVE is much slimmer and easier-to-use than previous solutions, and can easily prove a great option when it comes to all-day use.

Moreover, it can offer a great experience through its Voice Guidance system, through the StatusDisplay, as well as via the easy-to-locate answer/end button on the microphone boom.

“A new design and microphone concept, including a three layer wind-noise reduction, provides significantly better immunity to wind and background noise,” the company notes.

The WAVE can offer crystal clear audio even when in noisy environments, due to Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology.
