For a large number of consumers, both listening to music and the use of their phone are very important. More mobile phones are starting to feature Bluetooth with A2DP support, while the number of newly released cell phones that don't include an MP3 player is pretty small.

That's the main reason why a Bluetooth headset that can transform into a high-performance stereo headset will always be a very appreciated product. Jabra is announcing such a headset, the BT8010, that is designed for exactly that type of consumers that demand the possibility of adapting their Bluetooth headset into a fully functional Bluetooth stereo headset, therefore being able to easily switch between their phone and music listening.

The Jabra BT8010 headset was designed to be very easy to use and includes features such as auto-pairing, providing an easy connection to other Bluetooth devices such as mobile phones or media players. It can also be connected to two devices at the time, due to its Multipoint connection.

Featuring Bluetooth 2.0, the headset also provides longer talk time apart from a clearer signal, offering up to 10 hours of talk time, 6 hours of streaming music and 300 hours of standby time.

The Jabra BT8010 can receive and play Bluetooth stereo streaming audio directly from any mobile phone or music player that features Bluetooth with A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) support, and comes with digital signal processing technology that provides higher sound quality.

The music features include play/pause/stop, Skip track forward and volume control and the headset will be available during the first quarter of 2007. It will have an estimated price of $149.
