Rapper Ja Rule has decided to address on Twitter the rumors that he might be gay and in a relationship with his former male cell mate. He has denied both allegations.

It was the rapper's wife, Aisha Atkins, who first claimed that her husband Ja Rule (real name Jeffrey Atkins) was leaving her to be in a relation with the man with whom he shared a prison cell.

At the time, she told MTV in some very strong words that they had spent 10 years working on their marriage and it took Ja Rule just two years in prison to decide he wanted something else.

The “Thug Lovin'” rapper was sent to jail for two years on gun charges, but apparently went home to his wife after his release in May of this year. Aisha explains, again using strong language, that he did return home indeed, but only to collect his belongings.

Now, Ja Rule, probably tired of all the rumors, has taken to Twitter to dismiss all these allegations as lies made up by some “clowns.” He went even further, by posting a picture on Twitter of him kissing a lady friend  while making an explicit sign and wishing everyone a merry Christmas.

This marital dispute, playing out in the press, comes after Ja Rule said in an October interview with Hip Hollywood that he had faith in his wife to overcome the rumors of his infidelity, because, as a famous person, he was a target to “fallacious women” who seek to gain advantage from his notoriety.

“I think at the end of the day, our love and our bond is stronger than any rumors of infidelity,” he concluded.

The couple has been married since 2001 and Ja admitted on several occasions that they've had they ups and downs and that, while he's been a good man and a good father, he hasn't always been the best husband.
