14 DAY TRIAL // Before MTV pulled the plug on “Jersey Shore,” two of the show’s stars, JWoww and Snooki, learned that the New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had no love to spare for them. As the first video embedded below will confirm, the feeling remains mutual.
TMZ paparazzi caught up with the two reality stars and good friends as they were heading home after dinner, and casually asked them what they thought of Christie’s stance on gay marriage, which, in case you don’t know, is that it should not be legal.
Snooki was too far behind to offer an answer, but JWoww immediately shot back that “Chris Christie is retarded” but did not wish to elaborate on that.
Video of the exchange is below. The second video is of the first time the reality stars met with Christie, with Snooki telling him that she just wanted him to get to know them, in the hope that he might start to like them.
As soon as word of JWoww’s comment got out online, the reality star took to her Twitter to apologize and explain why she spoke so harshly – and inappropriately – about the politician.
Apparently, his narrow-minded stance on gay marriage makes her say the worst things ever.
“Caught off guard last night and said things I normally don't say. I find it disgusting people are still against gay marriage...,” she writes.
“So because of that I called chris Christie a name which wasn't appropriate. I do find him disgusting and judgmental. I'm for gay equality. So I apologize for my choice of words but I do not apologize for how I feel towards him,” she continues.
Because Snooki didn’t say anything on the record, she didn’t see any need for her to address the controversy like JWoww.
While this blows over, fans of the pint-sized reality star can see her on the new season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, where she’s actually recording remarkable progress.
