As for its looks, the brand new GIGA Vu extreme features a wonderful 3.7" VGA resolution display for one of the best views of the stored digital images, a verify function for safe and reliable transfer of images, real RAW file decoding of more then 100 RAW formats. The portable media device sports 145 x 107 x 38 mm and weighs about 420 g. The portable digital album with hard drive storage and a built-in memory card slot for CompactFlash and MicroDrive, plus an included SD/SDHC adapter (all other memory card types via optional adapter), was designed for digital camera users that want the most advanced digital storage and display patterns on the market.
In this regard, the JOBO GIGA Vu extreme can offer professional photo functions including real RAW file decoding, the super Hi-Speed downloading of files to and from a user's PC, and great image viewing capability.
The storage is not bad either, as it can vary from 80 GB up to 160 GB capacity. Not to mention it can also act as a permanent secure storage system for a user's precious digital pictures. It is also an extremely portable media player that can go anywhere, allowing users to enjoy their favorite photos, videos and music anytime. Slide showing of the photo file is also possible without too much effort.
So that when used as a media player, JOBO is compatible with MPEG 1, MPEG 2, and MPEG 4 video files and MP3 music files, but the owners can also use the on-the-go (OTG) feature to connect the JOBO GIGA Vu extreme to other stand-alone USB devices such as digital cameras, printers, MP3 players, and card readers.
The JOBO's photo related specs mention the JPEG images support, but actually displaying the real and true RAW data is also possible. Your photo content is safe in the device, since this was packed with extra measures of security, offering a Verify-Function confirming all data has transferred completely, dust detection, Pict-Bridge printing and a J.D. Loupe feature for viewing even the most precise image details. In addition, the JOBO GIGA Vu extreme conveniently displays histograms and channel views.
