J. Lo Skips Boston Because It Reminds her of Ben Affleck

Looks like the feud between the two former lovers isn't quite over yet

J.Lo still has some bad feelings for Affleck...the feeling seems to be mutual

A very pregnant Jennifer Lopez still hasn't graced us with an announcement regarding her growing baby bump, probably because she imagines that we're either silly or too blind to see the truth which is - quite literally - staring us in the face. The Latino diva has however been keeping herself busy though, touring cities from Los Angeles to Miami in order to promote her new album, Brave, which unfortunately hasn't been doing very well in the charts since its release almost two weeks ago.

So perhaps it's not a very good idea for J. Lo to skip concert locations, but apparently there is one city in which she just won't sing. Lopez is said to be so adverse to spending time in Ben Affleck's hometown of Boston that she stubbornly refused to perform there. The Northeastern city has too many bad memories for her after her broken engagement to Ben and she's not about to go back voluntarily. "Jennifer has very bad memories of the city," a friend of the singer's tells Star. "It's where [ex-boyfriend] Ben Affleck proposed to her and where Ben is from".

The Latino singer's friend also reveals that ever since Affleck and Lopez split up in 2004, the two "have not been friends. She's mad that he continues to trash her and their relationship in the media". And if that's the reason for which she won't go near Boston, Lopez has a point. Affleck (who has since married "Alias" actress Jennifer Garner, with whom he also has a 22-month-old daughter named Violet) has not been very kind to his ex girlfriend in his recent statements, admitting to Details Magazine that dating her "was probably bad for my career".

However, if this is true, it shows that it's Lopez who seems not to have gotten over her old flame Affleck. But it's equally true that the singer's former lover also had a point in stating that his acting career had a lot to suffer from his passion for Lopez which determined him to co-star with her in a few movies (like Gigli for example) which effectively trashed his career. But I must say, it's always nice to watch these subtle celebrity fights - although I have a feeling in this case it's another strategy aimed at taking our attention away from J. Lo's pregnancy. Better come clean about it all and give us the goods on both the pregnancy and Affleck - and then we'll talk some more.
