14 DAY TRIAL // Yesterday, after seeing J.J. Abrams interview with Jon Stewart to promote “Star Trek Into Darkness,” I said that it must be one of the funniest and most amazing interviews ever. I still believe that, but it now has strong competition.
Abrams stopped by Jimmy Kimmel the other night to talk about the film and, as expected, he also had to take several “Star Wars” questions.
At one point, as the video above will confirm, he accepted to take fans’ suggestions on the plot, to get past the writer’s block.
The consensus is that Princess Leia needs a new lover – and you will never guess who it is.
However, the two big surprises were “cameos” from Billy Dee Williams, who suggested Lando should be cast as lead and make love to gorgeous women for 2 hours of screentime, and from William Shatner, who suggested Cpt. Kirk is what “Star Wars” needs.
I guess that should put rumors about a feud between Shatner and J.J. to rest.
