J.J. Abrams doesn’t talk too much about his movies before official release but, once they’re out, he sure is a pleasure to be around. Check out his brand new interview with Conan O’Brien, in which he defends the Alice Eve underwear scene and also reveals one that was deleted.

If you’re a Benedict Cumberbatch fan, now might be a good time to sit down because the scene that ended up on the floor of the editing room is of the villain taking a shower.

As Abrams puts it, it’s the most evil shower ever taken in front of the camera.

The director’s revelation comes hot on the heels of reports that “Star Trek Into Darkness” objectified Carol Marcus (played by Eve) with the inclusion of the aforementioned gratuitous scene.

Abrams admits the editing left a lot to be desired, and insists that his intention was never to objectify a female character.

For the sake of argument, I have no idea if this Cumberbatch scene is legit, but it definitely looks like it. In recent interviews, he talked about gaining a lot of muscle mass for the role and he appears positively ripped here.

Here, in case you missed that.
