14 DAY TRIAL // The hamster rights activists working with CHA (the California Hamster Association) were outraged when hearing the news that, just last week, Justin Bieber saw fit to gift one of his screaming fans with his hamster.
Granted, the 18-year-old girl who got the hamster was more than overjoyed to receive such a gift, yet said activists claim that Bieber did nothing more and nothing less than condemn the pet to a rather frightful death, sources report.
Apparently, hamsters are very fragile and vulnerable creatures, and sudden changes in their living conditions (such as having a new owner) can have a terrible impact on their overall wellbeing, ultimately leading to their death.
“The moment that hamster was handed off to a screaming girl in a harsh, frenzied environment was likely the moment it gazed at the short path to its doom,” this organization says.
Hopefully, Justin Bieber's former pet will manage to escape this unfortunate fate.
