Each week, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters release a statement to announce their plans. This week is not different, but this time their agenda doesn’t include cyberattacks launched against financial institutions from the United States.

On the other hand, this particular statement also contains some interesting information. First of all, the hackers said that last week they targeted Capital One, BB&T and HSBC.

The curious thing is that the controversial Fawkes Security group also took credit for the attack on HSBC and considering that Ally Financial was also disrupted, most people assumed that HSBC wasn’t Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters' target. It appears it was after all.

After each cyberattack, the representatives of the targeted banks highlight the fact that no customer information has been affected. However, the hackers underscore that stealing money is not on their agenda.

Furthermore, they once again reinforce the fact that the attacks they launch have nothing to do with state-sponsored campaigns against the US. Their objective is to have the controversial Innocence of Muslims movie removed.

“Mr. Panetta has noted in his remarks to the potential cyber threats such as attacking on Power & Water Infrastructures, running off trains from the tracks & etc,” the hackers stated.

“On our opinion, these Panetta's remarks are for distracting the public opinion &in support of the owners of the bank`s capital. He is going to put the existing pressure toward the people. This is capitalism`s usual trick. That they put too many people under pressure and exploitation for benefits of just a few people,” they added.

“It is likely that even Zionists cause damages to US power, water and aviation facilities and then claim that Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters Group has done it. They had done such action already on 9/11 story.”

They conclude by saying that they will not attack any banks this week because of the Eid al-Adha religious holiday which is taking place these days.
