After numerous threats against the United States government, Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters have officially launched phase three of Operation Ababil.

“As we have said earlier, the Operation Ababil is performed because of widespread and organized offends to Islamic spirituals and holy issues, especially the great prophet of Islam(PBUH); and if the offended film is eliminated from the Internet, the related attacks will also be stopped,” the hackers wrote in their latest statement.

“Those who are our announcements' main addressing party, should know that we Muslims youth who are running this job won't be entrapped by their propaganda and only when the insulting movies are removed from the Internet we will stop this work,” they added.

“Those who create fake assumptions about us using their weak analysis also show that they are completely unfamiliar with this cyber environment.”

The members of Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Cyber Fighters say they suspended phase two of the operation for one month after the main copy of the Innocence of Muslims movie was removed because they wanted to give the US government time to remove the other instances of the controversial film.

However, since that didn’t happen, the hackers say they’ll pick up where they’ve left off and continue launching distributed denial-of-service (DDOS) attacks.

The hacktivists threaten to attack “a number” of American banks on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday during work hours. It remains to be seen if any of the organizations targeted in the past implemented any additional security measures to keep their websites online during the attacks.

It’s also worth noting that according to the hackers' latest calculations, the attacks will go on for 11 weeks.

“We know that they have marked to examine the sensitivity and zeal of the Muslims and now they seriously observe the consequences of this experiment. We are ready,” they concluded their statement.
