Nokia N79 has been in the spotlight for some time now. First of all, a fake N79 was available before the original, then it took several trips to the FCC in order to get certified for North America, and now it's finally on the market. The European market, that is.

The phone has been spotted on Nokia's Italian page as available, so this is good news if you're in Italy. Should you happen to be in the UK, you're lucky too if you want to get this phone, since this is the second country in which the device is up for sale (through online retailers for the time being).

One thing that users might find discouraging is the amount they’ll have to pay for the phone. The price estimated for Nokia N79 was somewhere around 350 Euros or 512USD, but it seems that the retail price for this one is set at 419 Euros in Italy and 364 Pounds in the UK. Yet, for those that have their hearts set on the device, a difference of 69 Euros shouldn't be such a big hold-back.

In case you're not familiar with what Nokia N79 delivers, we're going to give you a recap of the specs. Being part of Nseries, the device can be called a smartphone that comes in a candybar form factor, and features S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2, a 5 megapixel camera (2592 x 1944 pixels) with autofocus and Carl Zeiss optics, as well as dual-LED flashlight.

The device also offers users video recording capabilities (VGA 30fps), a secondary videocall camera, and also user-changeable XpressOn covers. Other features include stereo speakers, GPS receiver, A-GPS support, MP3 player, FM radio with RDS, FM transmitter, TV out, a 3.5 mm audio output jack and more.
