An artist from Verona, Italy has created a larger-than-life tribute to Pope Francis after the latter's announcement to hold a prayer day for Syria on September 7.

Dario Gambarin created a large portrait of the pontiff by plowing it into a field near Verona. The image is 328 feet (100 meters) large and Gambarin views it as a work of art, similar to a painting. The only difference is that it can be spotted from a plane.

The art piece now stands in a field near Verona and it is titled “Love Liberates.” The artist has previously depicted President Obama, Nelson Mandela and Mickey Mouse, Telegraph writes. He also reproduced “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.

The land art has been created in about six hours with the use of a tractor. Gambarin does not measure the fields he works on beforehand, instead he relies on instinct.
