The search is finally over. After months of speculation and (occasionally desperate) attempts from fans to get their favorite in the race, Finnick Odair from “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” has been found.

He will be played by Sam Claflin, who was most recently seen in “Snow White and the Huntsman,” playing the prince.

“Lionsgate and the filmmakers of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE are pleased to announce that Sam Claflin has been cast in the role of Finnick in the much anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ worldwide smash hit novel Catching Fire,” a statement from the movie studio says.

“Charismatic and clever, Finnick was a District 4 Hunger Games victor when he was fourteen,” adds the same.

Claflin joins Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film will be out in November 2013.
