Seven years after her romance with actor and Hollywood hottie Brad Pitt came to a sudden end, thanks to his falling for Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Aniston finally seems ready and willing to once again tie the knot, this time with actor-screenwriter Justin Theroux.

The two have been dating for more than a year now, and although at the beginning of their relationship the case was made that they were only “great friends,” this latest piece of news tells us that things escalated rather quickly between them.

Sources inform us that Justin asked for Jennifer's hand in marriage just last Friday during his birthday party – the actor turned 41 –, so from where we stand Jennifer's saying “yes” to his proposal can be argued to be the best gift he could have received from her.

People who attended the party more than agree with us. “Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage,” Justin's representatives told the press.

Jennifer's representatives backed up this statement, so safe to assume there is no going back now: the two are to soon walk down the aisle.

Interestingly enough, official news of Jennifer and Justin's getting hitched comes immediately after the press speculated that Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were going to do the very same thing this past weekend.

More precisely: a family get-together at their French home fostered rumors that the bash was in fact going to turn into a wedding ceremony, more so since the two announced their engagement in April. Still, as it turned out, that was not going to be “the big day” for Angelina and Brad.

Going back to Jennifer (43) and fiancée Justin (41), here's hoping that her second marriage and his first such long-term commitment will rise to their expectations.

Truth be told, this could very easily be the case, seeing how, when their romance first began, Jennifer admitted that, “Yes, I'm very happy. I'm extremely lucky, and I'm extremely happy.”
