Nokia’s Lumia devices appear to be more popular around the world than the platform they run under, namely Windows Phone.

Recent data from Google Trends shows that more users are interested in learning info on these devices than those who would like to receive details on the operating system.

When it comes to media mention, Windows Phone is still ahead, phoneArena notes, yet Lumia devices appear to spike users’ interest even when Microsoft announces new features for the platform.

Ever since unveiling its first Lumia handsets, Nokia has been aggressively promoting them, and it does not come as a surprise that people are interested in them.

If this data be taken as a solid indicator, we could also expect for more consumers to show interest in Lumia devices as the Windows Phone 8 platform arrives on shelves sometime this fall.
