The Nexus 8 should be upon us in a month or so, according to leaks

Just yesterday I was telling you that a Chinese leakster claimed the heavily anticipated HTC Nexus 8 was expected to make a debut before October 8.

Why this particular date was chosen is unknown, but that the Nexus 8 will soon make a debut into the wild remains a fact.

And to further prove that point, today we got word that the HTC Nexus 8 has been spotted in the Wi-Fi Alliance database, as it apparently received its certification.

The listing doesn’t give us much insight about the product, but it does mention the tablet will arrive with Android L, something which was speculated upon in the past.

So as to remind you, the Nexus 8 is supposed to be successor of the Nexus 7 (2013) which was manufactured by ASUS.

At some point in the past, it was believed that the Nexus 8 will be taking advantage of Intel’s new Merrifield platform, but then the story changed and the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon processor came into the story.

As we got nearer to the Google I/O 2014, it became clear that neither scenario was true, so the Nexus 8 was revealed to draw power from an NVIDIA 64-bit Tegra K1 processor, which remains the current consensus.

But in about a month, we will be able to see whether all these speculations turn out to be true.
