The 13.3-inch e-reader prototype is just half the story

A few days ago, I wrote about the 13.3-inch Sony e-reader and how it was equipped with one of the largest e-paper screens from E Ink yet.

It was clear that the prototype was one of the thinnest and largest e-readers around, and possibly one of the most successful (eventually).

Now it came out that the 13.3-inch panel itself is actually flexible.

Weighing just 60 grams (2.11 ounces), it uses E Ink's TFT technology and is as large as an A4 sheet of paper.

It is also a bit tougher than other screens, without being heavier.

Sony, or rather E Ink, chose to name the panel Mobius.

The folks at Engadget were able to snap a few pictures of it, and even record a video. See it in full here.
