After releasing a bunch of cool items for just about every radio fan out there, Pure is targeting car owners and releases a black new shiny DAB digital radio easy-to-fit and which looks really good.

The Pure radio is powered from the in-car power socket and can be easily attached to your windscreen with the use of a removable flexible mount. To spice it up a bit with a mysterious and dangerous flavor, the manufactures have dubbed the radio " Highway". The item receives DAB stations and transmits them back to your kcute car radio on a ree FM frequency. All the user has to do is to tune the car radio to the appropriate FM frequency, which will be immediately shown of the Highway's display.

What's really cool about the item is its extra cool capability of allowing both iPod and MP3 playback. As expected, since Pure did that with most of the devices in its portfolio, the Highway can bring you more stations including the BBC 7, BBC 7, BBC Five Live Sports Extra, Planet Rock and theJazz. National AM stations such as talkSPORT, Virgin and BBC Five Live are also broadcast in what's claimed to be a "crisp, clear digital-quality DAB".

In addition, Highway comes packed with some easy-to-use features, such as the ReVu option, which pauses and skips back content through live DAB radio, QuickScan to find the free FM transmission frequencies, and 4 FM transmission presets. For safety reasons, the makers have hidden the device into a removable casing, which allows the owners to take the DAB radio out from the car when the ride is over and carry it in their pockets. However, I doubt anyone will actually put the car DAB radio in his jeans pockets and use a pair of headphones for private listening.

It's a great thing they made it iPod and MP3 compliant, enabling users to feed their Pure radios only with favorite good music. If you're interested in adding one of those devices to your gift list, you should know the Highways retails on the Pure's site for 69.99 pounds a piece.
