14 DAY TRIAL // Although it was obvious that Google was preparing a PowerPoint killer to bundle it into the Docs & Spreadsheets suite, it's now clear enough to understand that Presently, the upcoming solution, will be rolled out soon. The Mountain View company announced the acquisition of Zenter, a special firm that is based on online slide presentation technology that would be able to help Google reach its goals. The financial terms were not disclosed, but the acquisition is also confirmed on the official page of Zenter that redirects you to Google's site.
"You've heard us talk a lot about using the web to improve group collaboration and information sharing. These days, when you create a document -- whether it's a text document, a spreadsheet, or a presentation -- you usually want to share it, collect feedback, or communicate about it in some way," Sam Schillace, Engineering Director, said today.
Some time ago, the Internet users discovered an interesting document stored in one of the Google products that revealed valuable information about an upcoming Presentation tool powered by the search giant. The product, codenamed Presently, was then confirmed by the Google officials who sustained that the presentation service will join Docs and Spreadsheets into the Office suite. Today, the Google representative is again confirming the speculations, adding that the presentation tool is on its way to Google Office.
