Like I said, it was a supposition based only on rumors, but some pretty convincing ones for that matter. Well, now we are in the position to transfer this story from the Celebrity scoop to the Lifestyle category.

That's because the on-line edition of E! News has announced yesterday what everyone was already 99% sure: Christina Aguilera carries Jordan Bratman's baby, which will be the first for both of them. The singer wanted to wait until she was 3 months pregnant before she went public with the pregnancy. The confirmation does not yet come from Christina, but from her father, Fausto Aguilera, who could not hide his satisfaction from the media. And now that it is official, our congratulations, Christina! The happy event should occur by the end of this year.

Christina's life is just getting better and better. Having to start after then rival Britney Spears, Aguilera has proven herself a better and more successful singer (she has five Grammies to prove it). If you want further proof of that just look around. Christina is currently on a sold-out world tour, while Britney's comeback is the laughing stock of the tabloids. Christina's happily married and about to have her first baby, while Britney is about to become a single mother of two. Finally, Aguilera has a clean record when it comes to drugs and alcohol, while Britney's partying may soon be getting her back to rehab. So much for that rivalry.

The 26-year-old singer is currently performing in Asia on her "Back to the Basics" World Tour and is planning to come to a stop with the concert in Auckland, New Zealand, which is scheduled for August 3. There is more good news for Christina as she will receive a star on the Hollywood walk of fame, along with fellow musicians George Harrison, Ricky Martin and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. This event is set to happen next year.
