The people over at Transcend are very well-known for manufacturing portable storage solutions that provide large capacities as well as rather attractive designs, which makes them more desirable for customers with an enhanced aesthetic sense.
And that's also the case with the company's latest product, the JetFlash V33, a flash drive that offers up to 8 GB of storage space in a sleek and eye-catching casing.

Thus, one of the first elements that draws the possible customer's attention to the V33 is its external design, as the drive has a curved, ultra-compact body (60mm x 16.5mm x 8.1mm) and only weighs 7g. Moreover, its pure white color scheme is simple and attractive, with a splash of color around its cap.

Much in the same way as most other flash drives released on the market lately, Transcend's new model also comes packed with a comprehensive set of software applications, rounded up under the "hood" of the JetFlash elite software package. This suite includes the Website AutoLogin function for automatically logging into one's online accounts, the PC-Lock, which turns the JetFlash V33 into a key for locking one's computer, as well as the Secret-Zip function, which compresses and password-protects files using 256-bit AES encryption.

Moreover, the software collection also includes a few tools for working on the go, as for example the Mobile Favorites, for browsing favorite websites, the Mobile E-Mail (which allows the owner to use any computer to securely send, receive and save e-mails), as well as the DataBackup feature, for backing-up, restoring and synchronizing data.

The JetFlash V33 is available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB and 8GB capacities (pretty much the standard sizes, nowadays) and, since it connects to a host computer via an USB 2.0 interface, it supports data transfer rates of up to 480 Mbps. Moreover, since we're on the subject of the host system, it's also important to mention the fact that the drive works with just about every important operating system out there, namely Windows Me / 2000 / XP / Vista, Mac OS® 9.0 / OS X and Linux Kernel 2.4.2 or later.

Unfortunately, no pricing or availability information has been released for the time being, but knowing Transcend, I'm quite sure that the new drives will come at some pretty affordable and reasonable price tags.
