After 0xOmar, an allegedly Saudi hacker, leaked the credit card details of a few thousand Israelis, his Israeli counterpart, 0xOmer published sensitive information that could affect more than 5,000 Saudi and non-Saudi credit card holders.

The Saudi Gazette reports that a couple of major banks have already started sending text messages to their clients advising them to immediately report any unauthorized transactions that may take place with their credit cards.

The hacker who admitted to be Omer Cohen from Israel posted online more than 200 names, email addresses, phone numbers, and credit card numbers, but refused to provide more sensitive security codes, claiming that he only intended to “alert.”

Representatives of the affected financial institutions say that they’re planning to issue new cards for the customers involved in the incident.

While the hacker hints that this is a form of protest, bank clients have already begun reporting illegal transactions with their credit cards.
