Overflow and Klon have delayed the upcoming visual novel / tower defense hybrid to July 3, in order to add more content to the Nintendo 3DS exclusive title.

After the success they experienced with School Days, the company decided to come up with a new title in the School Days visual novel series, presenting players some brand-new romance / survival content.

Overflow's adult game School Days even inspired an anime series back in 2007, along with two spin-offs.

The upcoming game sees the return of Makoto Ito, who is stuck on an island with a bunch of his female classmates.

Island Days will be split between two game modes, one being the visual novel part that explores the game's storyline, and the other being a survival and battle-focused one that plays just like a tower defense game.

Players will be able to place various characters on a grid map, arm them with various makeshift weapons found during the exploration of the story mode, and then proceed to defend the precious food supplies from the many wild animals that inhabit the island.

The game was initially supposed to come out in May but was pushed back to June 26. Klon has delayed the sequel to School Days again, to July 3, citing the need to increase the volume of content in Island Days as the main reason for the decision.

As such, Island Days is now scheduled to come out on July 3 for the Nintendo 3DS.
