After the fans have urged Britney
to dump hubby Kevin, it might be her mother's turn to advice her so. Lynne Spears, the star's mom, moved in with the couple after the two had brought their newborn home.
If 'friends' are to be believed, Lynne "seems to think that Kevin is a huge freeloader". She is truly concerned that he will end up depleting Britney's assets. Huge freeloader indeed, as the singer is richer than $120 million.
And the friend continues:
"I wouldn't be surprised if Lynne bluntly told Britney 'Cut your losses and move on."
Divorce may be the only option - that seems to be the conclusion of the mysterious 'friend'.
This isn't Britney's conclusion yet. If everything goes according to plans, the singer is to replace Mrs. Applegate in the Broadway show 'Sweet Charity' starting January next year, and she has made arrangements for her hubby to be cast as well in the musical. Love, sweet love.
The show is directed by Tony Award winner Walter Bobbie (Chicago) and choreographed by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento (The Who's Tommy, Wicked).
After a book by Neil Simon, with music signed by Cy Coleman and lyrics by Dorothy Fields, and based on an original screenplay by Federico Fellini, Tullio Pinelli and Ennio Flaiano, "Sweet Charity" is a funny and tender look at the misadventures of Charity Hope Valentine (Applegate, Mrs. Spears soon), a dance-hall hostess who always gives her heart - and her earnings - to the wrong man.
