Is Carmen Electra, Like, NOT Hot Anymore?

Time passes and things change and all good things come to an end. Tragedy of life. But before you think I'm going crazy melancholic and falling for the pre-holiday season blues, I must tell you that there's a point to this string of cliches other than being annoyingly introspective or cheaply philosophical. What I wanted to point out was that in the ever-changing celebrity world, some rise, others fall, some lose their charms, some prove they never had any to begin with (think Britney Spears), and some sex symbols... just fade away.

I don't know what it is about these Carmen Electra shots that makes me feel really depressed. Maybe it's the fact that I once used to look up to this lady as one of the hottest babes out there - and now (looking at her) I have the feeling we've all been fantasizing about our mothers.

I don't know why we have this tendency to glorify the past. I mean, there are plenty of hot babes out there - but there's something about old school girls like Pammy or Carmen who simply have that vintage, golden age aura. Maybe it's the fact that they both starred in Baywatch at some point, or maybe it's just their overall (past) hotness that's making my heart bleed - with sorrow for the lost days, in which Pammy didn't divorce every two months and Carmen didn't look like she was a 60 year-old fresh from plastic surgery, desperately trying to look like she was 50.

I admit I was pretty shocked when I put these two pictures one next to the other and had a good long look at them. I don't know if it's time, age or just plain bad make-up that turned Carmen Electra into a fugly lady with not so much sex appeal as we used to remember. And what happened to her boobs? I mean, in the second, more recent picture she's got cleavage, but there seems to be nothing there to attract our attention.

And what is with the hair, the skin color and the lipstick? Why do I suddenly feel that the sex symbol has suddenly turned into the most authentic trailer mom I've seen in a while? How time passes... Carmen needs a reality show and a sex tape to improve her public image, or the next thing we know she'll be starring in cheap adds, getting boob implants and getting married four times a year. And we really wouldn't want that, right?
