A New York man was arrested twice on the same day for two completely different incidents of driving while intoxicated. He managed to drunkenly smash his car twice at the same McDonald's location in Oneonta.

Zachary J. Boynton is the man who got two DUIs at the same McDonald's parking lot on Sunday morning. He was first arrested at around 1am after allegedly hitting the car in front of him in the parking lot of a McDonald's located on State Route 23 in Oneonta.

A subsequent investigation of the minor accident revealed that the 31-year-old man was intoxicated when he drove his vehicle into a car that was in front of him at the drive-through. Police officers determined that his blood alcohol level was 0.25 percent, which is more than three times the state's legal limit of 0.08.

After issuing a traffic ticket, police turned him over to a sober person, Huffington Post reports.

The second incident took place at 5:16am, when New York State Police was called at the same McDonald's because someone had hit the building with a car and then fled the scene.

It seems that Boyton thought one traffic ticket was not enough for one night, so when he couldn't sleep, he got back into his car and returned to the same fast-food restaurant, probably to get some burgers to absorb his alcohol. However, he was not yet sober and crashed his car into the building.

Authorities figured out Boynton must be the culprit and found his damaged car outside his home on Southside Drive. They arrested him for drunk driving, for the second time in the same night.

Before being charged, the irresponsible driver was treated at a local hospital for injuries he sustained in the collision. He was arraigned at the Town of Oneonta Court and then released to a sober third party.

It seems that Boyton was also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and disorderly conduct back in November. This means this is the third DUI in less than six months for Boynton and he should really consider finding a fast-food chain that offers home delivery.

A similar incident happened in September, 2011, when Pennsylvania Police arrested Robert Brodnick, 58, for driving under the influence twice in the same night. In that case, the second arrest took place about 15 minutes after the police released him into the custody of a friend.
