The very tool meant to monitor the outage is now offline

To keep users up to date on its progress restoring the Dev Center, Apple this week created a status page to display the availability of its systems.

Which makes it a bit ironical to hear that the very tool meant to monitor these systems is also down at the moment. I caught wind of this via winocm on Twitter, who wrote, “The irony of the Developer Center status page being down now.”

As Beau Giles points out, the contact page is also experiencing downtime. He hopes it’s for good reason (i.e. Apple updating them).

At the time of this writing, trying to access https://developer.apple.com/support/system-status/ only yields Apple’s apologetic Developer Update memo, of which I’m sure many developers have grown increasingly tired.

Let’s hope that when the status page goes back up, so will a few other services.

Update: the Status Page is now back online. No changes whatsoever.
