Described as a combination of “Inglourious Basterds,” “Sin City” and classic war movies, “Iron Sky” is finally completed and will premiere at this year's Berlin Film Festival. Above is the trailer.

Director Timo Vuorensola has been working for years on the film, which was funded partially from donations from the public.

All along, it's been getting somewhat of a negative rap for allegedly being pro-Nazi. It's not. It's a tongue-in-cheek action comedy that happens to revolve around the Nazi, the director explains.

In the late '40s, the Nazi sent spaceships to the dark side of the moon, where they set up base and regrouped with the aim of returning to Earth to conquer it when the time was right.

The time turns out to be right in 2018, the year when the film is set.

“The three main characters of the story are Renate Richter (Julia Dietze), Klaus Adler (Götz Otto), and James Washington (Christopher Kirby),” the synopsis says.
