14 DAY TRIAL // Iron Man fans, get ready! Marvel’s Facebook campaign, which gives you the power to unlock an exclusive, first look at the third film with Robert Downey Jr., is picking up speed. “Iron Man 3” has also gotten an official synopsis.
Of course, it doesn’t reveal much about the plot, but it does offer a hint about what’s in store next for Tony Stark / Iron Man: the greatest and most defining crisis he’s ever been faced with.
“Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible,” the synopsis says (via Stitch Kingdom).
“This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?” adds the same.
“Iron Man 3” sees Robert Downey Jr. rock the iconic superhero suit once more. Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle also reprise their roles from the previous film.
Rebecca Hall, Guy Pearce, Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley also star, with the film scheduled for release on May 3, 2013.
