When you buy tickets for “Iron Man 3” a few months from now, remember to expect something big: Marvel has just announced that the film will be released in IMAX and 3D for a much improved experience and, of course, maximized profit.

The film will be out internationally on April 25, and domestically on May 3, a press statement from Marvel notes.

This is the fourth film from Marvel Entertainment that gets this treatment, following “Iron Man 2,” “Thor” and “The Avengers,” the last of which literally broke all records at the box office.

Obviously, Marvel doesn’t see why it shouldn’t try for a repeat.

As a bonus for fans hyped by this piece of news, embedded in this blog you will find on-set videos of reshoots that took place recently in Hollywood.

No one knows much about the scene but, clearly, it involves an explosion on a crowded street.
