The development team at Bungie is announcing that the Iron Banner experience for Destiny is set to come back to the Destiny on June 2 with a number of tweaks that are designed to improve the overall experience of all players interested in the competitive event.

The studio says that in order to compete with Trials of Osiris for the attention of gamers the mode will offer more diverse and interesting rewards, which will include the much coveted Etheric Light but also scout rifles, fusion weapons, boots, gauntlets and more.

When Iron Banner becomes active in Destiny again and Lord Saladin returns to the Tower gamers will be able to see some changes to the core features of the game experience.

A reputation boost will be introduced for lower ranked Guardians to allow them to compete, and less glimmer is needed to get access to rewards.

Those who want Etheric Light will be able to get it at ranks 3 and 5 and the new playlists for Iron Banner include Cauldron and Pantheon, while those playing on the PlayStation 4 or the PS3 can also enjoy the Exodus Blue map.

The tweaks are introduced based on the feedback that gamers have been offering on Iron Banner since it was launched.

Bungie wants to keep the mode evolving in the coming months, so it is welcoming any additional comments on its mechanics.

Destiny now has an expanded end-game

When the House of Wolves expansion for the social shooter was launched, the developers were focused on the enhancement of late game activities for those fans who already explored all the core experiences that the title has to offer.

Both Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders are offering new gameplay mechanics and enhanced rewards for those who are aiming to improve their Guardians.

Bungie has already confirmed that it is also working on a new end-game raid, although it has not offered any details on it or the boss that gamers will have to face.

Rumors are currently saying that another expansion for Destiny, called The Taken King, will be launched before the end of the year and will introduce more environments to explore and significant changes to the core features of the shooter.
