Many a man would probably give their right hand to have Rihanna shoot a music video on their land, not to mention have her do it in skimpy attire, but one farmer from Northern Ireland was anything but happy. So he told her to pack up and leave.Rihanna is now in Northern Ireland, shooting the video for her first single off her upcoming album, “We Found Love.” Photos available online show that the first location was a muddy grain field.
The field, it would seem, belongs to 61-year-old farmer Alan Graham, who agreed to have the entire crew on it to shoot a video without knowing who the clip was with.
The other day, he went to get his tractor when he saw Rihanna at work on set, without her top on, and he felt her behavior was so inappropriate that he immediately asked her to leave, he tells the
BBC.
“I thought it was inappropriate. I requested them to stop and they did,” the farmer says. Next up, Rihanna and the crew moved to the streets of the New Lodge area of North Belfast to complete the video.
Mr. Graham says he made it very clear to the Barbadian pop star why he was not happy with her on his land and why he wanted her gone as soon as possible.
“I had my conversation with Rihanna and I hope she understands where I’m coming from. We shook hands,” he says for the same media outlet.
“I didn’t know who was coming. If the name ‘Rihanna’ had been mentioned, well, no disrespect but it wouldn’t have meant anything,” the farmer further says.
“From my point of view, it was my land, I have an ethos and I felt it was inappropriate. I wish no ill will against Rihanna and her friends. Perhaps they could acquaint themselves with a greater God,” Mr. Graham underlines.
