Irina Shayk, one of the most gorgeous and in demand models of today, says there's a huge difference between posing in lingerie to promote it and posing in lingerie just for the sake of it. She's now gracing the pages of the latest issue of FHM.

Speaking with the publication, the model, who is currently dating Cristiano Ronaldo, says she's been offered to pose for Playboy but she declined because she's above that.

As she sees it, taking your clothes off for fashion and taking your clothes off because you're paid by a men's magazine are two different things, though there are many out there who wouldn't agree with her.

“I get so many requests, 'Do this magazine. Do this campaign.' But you have to be smart. I would never do Playboy,” she says, as quoted by Belfast Telegraph.

“Yes, I am a lingerie model, but I have class. Playboy offered me so much money last year. I was like, 'No. Way',” she adds.

As for other high fashion models who agreed to pose for the controversial publication, Irina believes they only agreed to it because their careers had come to a dead-end – which, clearly, does not apply to her.

“Alright Naomi Campbell did it and Claudia Schiffer did it. But they did it at the end of their career and it was classy. I think of myself as a cover girl. But I would never do some kind of cheesy magazine,” she further says.

Ironically enough, for FHM, she's wearing about as many clothes as she'd wear if she were posing for that magazine she says she would never do because it's “cheesy.”

The latest celebrity to pose for Playboy and, because of it, receive a considerable boost in terms of media exposure (and money, because she was paid an estimated $1 million [€719,476]) was Lindsay Lohan.

“Cheesy” as the magazine may be, in her case at least, collaborating with it proved to be a very smart idea.
