''My husband detonated [his bomb]. I tried to explode [my belt], but it wouldn't", Sajida Mubarak Atrous al-Rishawi said during a televised broadcast.

According to AP, the 35 year old Iraqi woman is the wife of the terrorist who detonated himself in one of Amman hotels, where 300 persons were celebrating.

Rishawi appeared on the Jordanian state television wearing a white headscarf,
a black denim dress and having on a belt packed with explosives and ball bearings.

The female terrorist said that both her and her husband, Ali Hussein Ali al-Shamari, had belts with explosives when they entered the Radisson ballroom.

''My husband wore a belt and put one on me. He taught me how to use it, how to pull the [primer cord] and operate it", she said.

The Jordanian police managed to detain the woman after the terrorist group posted an online responsibility of claim text, in which it was said that among the persons perpetrating the hotel attacks there was also a woman.

The text said that the group, formed exclusively by Iraqis, was in charge of the planning and execution of the attacks and that it was composed of three men: commanders Abu Khabib, Abu Muaz and Abu Umaira, and a woman, the 'venerable' Um Umaira.

The officials hope that the terrorist will provide useful information regarding the operations carried out by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's group.
