A few weeks ago, US Defense Secretary Leon Panetta came forward to state that Iran was responsible for the cyberattacks launched against Saudi Aramco and RasGas. Furthermore, the official even pointed the finger at Iran for the cyberattacks on US banks.

However, Iranian officials have come forward with their own allegations.

“The US is the genesis of cyber terrorism, the US government intends to pave the way for increasing its cyber terrorist measures by projection and accusing others,” Iran's Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi said in response to Panetta’s claims.

According to the Iranian Students’ News Agency, Vahidi also accused Israel of pressuring independent countries by launching cyberattacks against their systems.

He claims that Israel has also launched attacks against Iran, but they have failed because of the country’s capabilities to defend itself.
