The Imam Hassan Mojtaba division of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps has published a notice on the Alborz website to deny media reports that Mojtaba Ahmadi, the head of the country’s cyber warfare program, has been assassinated.

They haven’t denied that someone has died. Imam Hassan Mojtaba confirms that “one of its workers,” whose name or rank they haven’t revealed, has been involved in an “incident.” However, they deny ever saying that he has been assassinated.

They have confirmed on the other hand that they’re investigating the “very sudden incident” and the intentions of the attacker or attackers.

Western countries have admitted regarding Iran as a serious cyber adversary. The theory that Mojtaba Ahmadi was assassinated came after Iran accused its enemies of assassinating several nuclear scientists.
