Apple generally invites media people to attend one week in advance

With a convenient March 7 gap on the calendar for San Francisco's Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Apple is widely believed to plan the introduction of its third-generation iPad next week.

And considering Apple’s modus operandi, in that the company always sends the press invites one week in advance, we should be expecting a confirmation really soon - perhaps as soon as this Wednesday.

The iPad 3 is all over the news, though its existence has not been confirmed. While it is logical for Apple to refresh the product with a Retina display and a more powerful processor, only Tim Cook himself will be able to confirm the rumors when he lifts the cloth off the next-generation iPad.

What do you guys think those invites will look like?
